Hello
Kerrie here
It is my turn on the Couture Creations Blog today I have finally printed out some of my favourite photos from my trip to South Africa and I love this one of us ladies. Not the best photo of us all but this was our first time meeting and we all went out on an adventure to Sandton to visit Nelson Mandela Square. This photo makes me happy as not only was I in South Africa with my Mum I got to meet these fabulous ladies, Amber Crowell, Trisha Ladouceur & Angela Lanoy ..we didn't know yet but we were about to have an amazing adventure together thanks to Glenda Viljoen
anyway onto my layout which I have used lots of Couture Creations products on
Start by cutting the striped piece of Sew Jo patterned paper down to 11.5" 11.5" and then distressed the edges of both the patterned paper and the Core'dinations cardstock using my scissors, using scissors helps get the edges really distressed.
next sprinkle some walnut ink crystals in some texture paste and mix in
then place the Tied Together die with the flat side down onto the bottom right side patterned paper
and randomly smear into the pattern
carefully lift off and repeat on the top left side, set aside to dry
Die cut 3 of the Classical die using a cereal box, as you can see it cuts through easily
pop the bits out
Add some Crystal Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue to Gesso mix in and then paint the chipboard die cuts and set aside. This add a subtle touch of sparkle to your die cuts
die cut 1 x Sophia Stella die and emboss using Small Dots embossing folder, lightly ink edges using a Sponge Dauber
Using the 3 middle sizes of the Sunflower Nesting Die die cut 2 of each size, cut sections into petals, spritz with water and scrunch to give dimension. lightly ink the edges with ink using Sponge Dauber.
Assemble flower and add an embellishment to center
Die Cut 1 x Cappuccino Ornamental Lace Die and 1 x Chandeliers Set border
here is a look at all the dies I have used, I keep the dies I am using on one of the Magnetic Storage Sheetswhile I am working on a project, this way I don't misplace the dies. On the Cappuccino Ornamental Lace Die I have used double sided tape to keep the Quick Release Die Paper permanently on my die, making it easy to use and all those pesky bits fall straight out.
Once all pieces are dry, assemble layout.
I have also cut a measuring tape strip from Sew Jo Paper Pad ...finish off with some pearls
I lightly brushed the Imaginarium Designs Chipboard title with Gesso and then lightly sprayed with Walnut Ink, I also lightly sprayed the Classical Chipboard die cuts with Walnut Ink.
