XOXO

My very clever friend Pauline has designed these gorgeous cards using the beautiful American Craft paper from the XOXO range.

Why not pop into the shop and have a look as both of them have a 3D effect and look even more amazing in real life!  We have all of 5 American Craft printed papers that were used in these cards available in the shop.

Sizzix Heart Framelits dies

This card was made a while ago but it is always a favourite with the customers.
We have used the Sizzix Framelits dies to make the base of the card as well as the layers. We love these dies as they are larger than standard metal dies. The largest die in the set is big enough to use as a card base.
We have plenty of these dies in stock at the moment so make sure you pop in if you would like to add this set to your collection.

Tools

This lovely stamp (Father's Day Tools 3464E) from Stamp It is a few years old now but I still love it and it always sells well at this time of year.
Father's Day Tools

On the card below the card base was put through the Sizzix embossing folder{Diamond Plate & Riveted Metal} . The American Craft "Chap" paper has been diecut with a Spellbinder Circle die. The wording has been stamped in the circle and this section is adhered to a black circle. The remaining piece of printed paper is adhered to black card. The ribbon is adhered in place and caps (eyelets) inserted. This layer is adhered to a red layer of card and this layer is mounted to the card base. The circle layer is mounted onto the card base.

The wording has been stamped and heat embossed on red card and adhered to brown card. A layer of red Kraft Core card has been put through the Diamond Plate embossing folder and sanded. This layer is mounted to the American Craft "Chap"paper and then adhered to the card base. The star has been cut with the Sizzix Framelits, inked around the edges and is mounted onto the card base.

1 little octopus and 2 easy cards

Jill was playing around with the Octopus stamp from Kaiser and made these two cards. The first card was made using the Spectrum Noir Pens, along with the Sizzix Flower Framelits and American Craft printed paper.

The card below is again using the American Craft paper, Sizzix Flower Framelits but this time the octopus has been coloured in with Liquid Pearls. If you want to know more above Liquid Pearls keep reading....

We are having Liquid Pearl demonstrations this week at Crafty Capers . Look up in the tabs above for the dates and times.

Robyn's dresses

Robyn loved our dress card so much that we made in our Madame Boutique display that she went home and made it straight away (see post on June 21st ). She then made these variations which are fantastic.

The first dress is folded in the same way that we made it but it has been placed on a fancy folded card (the same card base we used in one of our Christmas card lesson in 2011).

The second dress has been made differently. This skirt has long vertical folds and the bodice and skirt have an edging which was made using a border punch. The card base for this card is the same used in the first card.

Amazing as usual Robyn.
Thanks for sharing your great ideas with us.

Check out this little guy!!!!!!

This little guy is so cute. It is one of new stamps from Kaiser. He has been coloured in with the lovely Spectrum Noir Alcohol Based Markers. He is mounted onto a Spellbinders Labels 4 and this is mounted onto a layer of American Craft printed paper. We have used gold foil board as a layer under the printed paper as well as one of the Spellbinder layers to brighten the look of the card. As the card, paper and turtle are all brown it was looking very dark. We have also done this technique on the Magolia Display that we currently have up in the shop (and have been featured on a recent post) as these cards were also very muted.

Quick and Easy cards

Here are a couple of easy layout for you to whip up and put aside for when you need a card in a hurry.
Labels Two

The card above is what we call a DL card because it fits in a DL sized envelope. The card base is 21cm x 21cm and when folded the base is 10.5cm x 21cm. We have used 2 lovely prints from American Craft, a strip of gross-grain across the centre to hide the join, 2 sparkly brads at the top and a white rub on a Spellbinder Labels #2 die cut. We have used the same coloured card for both layers of the die cut for a different look. We are hoping to get the "Happy Birthday" rub ons back in stock soon. We will let you know as soon as they come in.
Squares
The card base for this card is 4.5" x 9.0" or 11cm x 22cm. We have used 3 of the American Craft prints on this card along with a black rub on, thin satin ribbon and Sizzix Square Framelit dies. The Framelits were used to make a square frame which is mounted onto the card base (the pink print).
All materials used to make these cards are available at Crafty Capers.
