What has Jo been up to????

Here are some of Jo's creations.

Please be aware that we do not sell all of these products at Crafty Capers but I just loved the techniques that Jo uses and they can be achieved using similar products that we do sell. These cards are from the Couture Creations blog that Jo designs for.

Dream Boat Cards By Jo Piccirilli

Hi everyone!

Thanks for stopping by.  This month I have been playing around with the 3 in 1 Dreamboat collection that was released late last year.

Today I have two cards to share.  Here's my first one using the Butterfly Notes.

Let me show you how I created this card.
Below is what you will need.

Using your blending tool, blend and mix your inks over the paper.  Keep blending until you reach your desired result.   You will end up with something like this

Next ink up your stamp from the set and stamp onto your paper that you have just prepared.

I stamped it twice along the bottom and then trimmed it off to fit my card better.

Using the embossing folder from the set line up your stamped image in the folder and run it through your machine.

I then again used the stamps and stamped onto some patterned paper and diecut them out with the dies from the set.

I used my Circle Nesting Dies to make my sentiment.  Matt onto some black cardstock and then onto your card, some Glitzin Glamour and pearls and your done!

For my next card I decided to keep it very simple but I still think it is striking.

I have used the Floral Wreath set again from the Dreamboat Collection.

Here is what you will also need to create this card.

Gently using your anti static pad swipe across your paper that you are stamping on.  This really does help improve the quality of the embossing.  Ink up your stamp with Versamark ink and stamp onto your white cardstock.

Pour over some gold embossing powder and then place the excess back in the bottle.

I love to watch embossing powder melt.  Here is a look at the embossing process half way through.

You can then run in through your embossing machine making sure that your line up your stamped impression with the folder.

I then did exactly the same process with the flower stamp and after it was embossed I cut it using the die in the pack.  I then also cut out a smaller die and layered it on top and attached a pear brad to secure it all.

Stamp your sentiment and mat on black cardstock and it is ready to be attached to a white card.
