Scrapbooking lessons at Crafty Capers

Hi all

Over the last few months I have had quite a few enquiries about whether or not we run or could run some
Scrap Booking classes.  So I am pleased to announce that we will be holding our first Scrapbooking Classes on Thursday the 24th Of October 2013.

Jo Stehn will be running two classes one at 10.00am and another at 12.00.
Jo has designed this gorgeous page using papers and collectables from the Kaiser Take Note Collection.
This is a very versatile collection that could be used for female or male
pages.  Jo’s original was made up for her husband and she has used two smaller photos 2”by 3” .
You could  could equally use one or three.

The cost of the class is $30.  During the class you will receive 6 sheets of 12” papers from the Kaiser Take Note Collection, a sheet of 12” black paper and the Collectables for the Take Note Collection.  You will take home with you a completed/nearly completed page, instructions and
any remaining materials which are yours to keep.

Further classes will be dependent on the take up for this class.  As there are only 8 spots If you are interested in attending either of these session
you need to get in quick – one spot is already taken!

Thanks
Toni

Pop out card samples from our customers

Here is the pop out card that Jill taught in August. It was a very popular class.

Here are some variations that our customers have made after coming along to the classes.

Thanks for sharing ladies. We love what you have created.

We always enjoy teaching you something new but we also love to see what you have made after coming to the class.

Our cards that we teach in class are designed to be a template. Once you know how to make the class sample you can then go home and come up with your own amazing samples just like the ladies have done below.

Just a little update about what is happening in the shop this week.

Just a little update about what is happening in the shop this week.

* The Do Crafts magazines arrived yesterday and there are plenty of Christmas card ideas in it as well as a selection of stock to match in the shop.

*Goldleaf A4 stardream paper is back in stock. This is the gold paper that we always sell the most of at this time of year. It is the shade of gold that looks like your gold jewellery.

* We have a new brand of cream card in stock. This creme card is a gorgeous shade of creme and is not yellow. It is the best shade of creme that we have seen. The brand of card is Marshmallow and the shade is Warm Ivory. This card is smooth and would be great for colouring in on. Toni has 50 sheets in to see how it sells so make sure you pop in before it goes.

*We love to recycle our paper bags. If you have any of our paper bags at home, feel free to bring them back to the shop instead of throwing them out and we can reuse them.

* Toni's Dad made this wonderful display unit (see below) for the shop. Toni put it up this morning and filled it up with our cards and it looks great.

* Scrapbooking lessons - Toni will be having some scrapbooking lessons on October 24th at 10 and 12. Contact the shop for more information - craftycapers@iinet.net.au

customer cards

Here are some more gorgeous customer cards.

The card below was made by Lyn B. She has used the Spellbinder dies as well as a border punch. I love the way the Gazebo die has turned out. It has been cut from silver foil board. The Fantastic Flourish #1 is also a great die that we have used before. The flowers are cut from the Bitty Blossoms die set.

The box below was made by Dot G. She has used the Spellbinders D'Lites Poppy Patch, a fence punch as well as a tulip and butterfly die.

Thanks for sharing ladies.

We love your cards.

Very clever customers!

Here is a sample of the card the Jill taught in the September classes. It is a great design that can be used in many different ways and for may occasions. You can also modify the design by having 5, 4 or 3 panels.

Below are some variations of the card that our customers have made.

Tina has used 3 panels on her lovely card and this is great when you have larger layers to go inside each panel.

Janet has stayed with the 5 panels and has made this stunning card for her son.

Thanks for sharing ladies!!!!!

We love your cards.

Gingerbread - Kaiser

Here is the latest release from Kaiser called Gingerbread.

On the screen and in the catalogue they appear dull but don't be put off by this as I was surprised at how much I liked them when I saw them. They are much brighter when you see them in person and we have a huge range of card stock to go with them.

Here are some samples that Toni made using the new papers.
